| so i went to auto zone to get my car analyzed . yay. i don't even know if they found the right problem. i guess i'll find out. this week Jean's sister Lisa came to Lubbock from Maryland. We hung out and Jean actually went to the mall. She denies it but I think she had a great time. We ate at Olive Garden and I got to ride in Dusty's humongous truck. It was pretty cool. Other than that not much has been happening. Found some really cool swords on ebay. One is a gunblade from final fantasy 8 and the other is a keyblade from kingdom hearts. lotsa moola though. on a more realistic level, it looks like im gonna start working with the youth praise team which has about 3 or 4 people in it right now. i'm pretty excited about that because it was when someone took the time to get me started that i found the calling of my life. I hope that maybe i can be that someone for someone else. just turn around and keep it going , you know. other than that i recently conquered the small weak nation of.... oh wait... my musicians friend magazine is here. | hey everyone! hope your weekend was great. just thought id stop in and say hello to everybody. I just found out that there is a star wars store in town and am looking to confirm this. haven't seen it yet, though. Guitar center is still on the way. Oh, yeah, me and Jean (Jean and I?) are going to Oklahoma on the 8 and 9 of July. Thats right ! the weekend of the 8 and 9 we may be in a town near you so go to your nearest select a seat location to get tickets for the show. Its gonna be awesome. Were gonna go see some of Jean's family. I should check in once or twice before then nut i just thought id tell you all before i forgot. (and i will forget). Not a whole lot going on other than that. tomorrow night im working at Randy's firework stand as a fundraiser for the praise team. That should be cool. Dont think i'll buy too many myself though. Never was much of a fireworks kinda guy. well, i really didn't have alot to say this time so i guess i'll talk to ya later. 'Till then, keep on stickin' it to the man. | | |
| word to my peoples. I hope this update finds you well. Sorry its been so long. We just finished the conference with Leroy Friggin Thompson and it was great. We also had Pastor Steve Martinez and Shirley Jordan. God really poured out is presence on us and there were lots of people being set free from different things. It was also great to see the church from Mexico including pastor Elude and his family. I was kinda sad that his two sons weren't able to make it though. Oh,well. It was still fun. its always good to see them. the Praise and Worship was awesome and i hope that we do not slack off in our enthusiasm and motivation now that the conference has passed. I hope that it actually grows stronger in each of us. I know that Praise and Worship have been my passion for a long time now and I really want to help our church go to another level. All in all, on a scale of 1-10, the conference gets a "totally awesome". Some of the musicians were a little afraid that Israel Gosh-darn Houghton (yup) was going to show up, beat us for playing his songs wrong, sing all the songs, play all the instruments, perfectly, at the same time, while blindfolded, then beat us again for fun. But he didn't so its all cool. the big news is...(nope , sorry Jon, no kids)... GUITAR CENTER IS OPENING IN LUBBOCK ON JULY 13 AT 7:00 PM!!!!!!! Yes, God loves us very much. On the gaming front, I just started Metal Gear Solid : The Twin Snakes on Gamecube and its pretty cool so far. I think its supposed to be like part 1 and 2 combined. Its alittle different for me but if I like it I'll play part 3 and maybe 4. Zelda on Gamecube and on Gmeboy DS (which i recently obtained along with the New Mario Bros. game) comes out hopefully in the fall and Kingdom Hearts 3 is still a long long way off. Final Fantasy Versus13, however, looks alot cooler than ff12 , which looks gay. it (ff13) is one of 3 games that will make up the fabua nova crystalis(new tale of the crystal). It also is a long way off as ff12 has yet to come out. the new Musicians Friend catalogue should be here soon, cause dad just got his, so with a smile on my face I say goodbye until next time. thanks for tuning in. | | |
